Meet
Brenna McKerrall

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Brenna provides psychotherapy to children, adults, and couples within the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County area.

Brenna has fifteen years of experience in teaching and progressive education management, but as her career developed so did her desire to offer practical emotional support outside of an educational setting. Using psychoeducation, she has helped with many families, cross-culturally create parenting strategies and boundaries to manage child behaviours. Brenna has worked with countless teens, parents, and trauma survivors, and truly believes that every individual has the capacity to heal. She is an active advocate for neurodiversity awareness and inclusion, an LGBTQIA2S+ ally, and a firm believer in everyone’s right to be their authentic self.

Brenna’s approach to counselling is cooperative, compassion based, and person-centered, with a significant focus on self-discovery. She believes that people are experts in their own lives but regularly experience barriers to achieving their goals. Brenna employs a solution-focused perspective to counselling and uses a variety of therapeutic methods to ensure each client’s treatment plan is tailored to their individual needs. Having worked with children her whole life, she prioritizes their comfort in the process of therapy, often through play. She is passionate about giving you a voice in your treatment plan, empowering you to reach your goals, and collaboratively celebrating your successes.
