Brenna McKerrall

Mental Health Therapist

Brenna McKerrall is a Mental Health Therapist with Aspire Counselling and Psychology. Brenna has completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology and provides psychotherapy to children, adults, and couples within the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County area. Although Brenna works with all ages, a significant amount of her practice has been dedicated to working with teens and struggling parents.

Brenna has fifteen years of experience in teaching and progressive education management, but as her career developed so did her desire to offer practical emotional support outside of an educational setting. She has helped many families, cross-culturally, to create parenting strategies and boundaries to manage child behaviours. Since changing her focus to counselling, Brenna has worked with countless teens, parents, and trauma survivors, and truly believes that every individual has the capacity to heal. She is an active advocate for neurodiversity awareness and inclusion, an LGBTQIA2S+ ally, and a firm believer in everyone’s right to be their authentic self.

Brenna’s approach to counselling is cooperative, compassion based, and person-centred, with a significant focus on self-discovery. Brenna believes that people are experts in their own lives but often experience barriers to achieving their goals. Brenna is passionate about giving you a voice in your treatment plan, empowering you to reach your goals, and collaboratively celebrating your successes.
