Sheila B. Hudson
Sheila is a Registered Psychologist with Aspire Psychological Services and a community resource for LDS Family Services. Sheila provides psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children, and couples the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County and Greater Edmonton areas. Her approach is gentle, empathetic, and client-centered.
Sheila has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She believes that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are intricately entwined. She helps clients manage troublesome thoughts and feelings by actively exploring core beliefs and evidence that supports those beliefs, recognizing thoughts that are not helpful, and recognizing truths that are helpful.
Sheila has extensive experience working with children and their adults. She has training in play therapy from the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy institute. She is also trained to administer psychoeducational assessments. She works with children and parents in both individual and group settings.
Sheila has completed training with the Gottman Institute for couples’ therapists as well. She is passionate about helping couples learn fundamental communication skills that foster connection, trust and intimacy.
